26 December 2011 Final meeting within the environmental project A final event of the PAUC Foundation’s environmental project “Establishing School Centers for Environmental Education” took place in “Rus” Hotel in Kyiv on the 22nd of December 2011. The project was implemented with financial support of the US Embassy in Ukraine for 10 schools in different parts of Ukraine and with co-financing from the RUSAL Company for 3 schools of Mykolaiv.

25 December 2011 Results of the project on energy consumption in schools During July-December 2011, PAUCI Foundation implemented a project “Improving Conditions for Pupils. Implementation of Demonstration Projects on Raising Awareness and Changing Behavior on Energy Consumption in Schools” with financial support of Polish Embassy in Ukraine.

18 November 2011 School Centers for Environmental Education proved their effectiveness Within the project on establishing School Centres for Environmental Education that PAUCI Foundation implemented with financial support of US Embassy in Ukraine and RUSAL Company, schools in different regions of Ukraine have successfully implemented their pilot programs.

26 August 2011 Ukraine in Twenty Years – International Web-conference On 22 August 2011, an international web-conference “Ukraine in Twenty Years” took place in Chernigiv Centre of In-service training. Its participants from Ukraine, Great Britain, Russia, Poland and USA tried to answer the question about how Ukraine’s independence is perceived in the world and in Ukraine itself.

11 July 2011 Study visit to the Ukrainian-Polish borderland On 5-8 of July, PAUCI Foundation organised a study visit to the Ukrainian-Polish borderland with a representative of the Central German Network for Innovative Environmental Technologies in order to study the development problems of the region with special focus given to rural development.

11 July 2011 Lessons on Climate. Methodological Materials for Teachers Five lessons outlines on environmental topic for pupils of different age are presented in the manual. The lessons cover issues of environment and climate change as well as human activities influence on the environmental situation in the world.
