Press Conference on the EU Sustainable Energy Week in Ukraine

In April 2011 for the first time Ukraine will join the EU Sustainable Energy Week, Europe's key event for a more sustainable energy future. Between 11 and 15 April Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava and Kovel will host events to show, promote, discuss and celebrate energy efficiency and renewable energy.

A press conference announcing the EUSEW agenda in Ukraine and its highlights will take place on Wednesday, April 6, at 15:00 at the EU Delegation to Ukraine (10 Kruhlo-Universytetska Street, press conference room).
It will be attended by: • José Manuel PINTO TEIXEIRA, Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation; • Laurence Levaudel, Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy in Ukraine; • Gabriel Blanc, Sector Manager, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, EU Delegation to Ukraine; • Svyatoslav Pavlyuk, Deputy Director of Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation (PAUCI).
The EU Sustainable Energy Week is aimed to demonstrate to businesses, decision-makers and the wider public that sustainable energy technologies are viable, cost-effective and good for the environment.
Organized by the EU Delegation to Ukraine and other bodies, a varied programme of the week will bring together environment activists, business sector, international community, local and regional authorities and offer an ideal networking and awareness raising opportunity.
