School Centers for Environmental Education proved their effectiveness
Within the project on establishing School Centres for Environmental Education that PAUCI Foundation implemented with financial support of US Embassy in Ukraine and RUSAL Company, schools in different regions of Ukraine have successfully implemented their pilot programs.

Activities in School Centres were carried out in the form of competition. After the programs had been implemented, schools sent us their reports, video- and photomaterials, publications in media for evaluation. The selection committee comprised of Kyiv and Warsaw PAUCI offices representatives. It was extremely difficult to make the decision about winners because all schools did their work well both in content and in creative aspect. Though, we would like to apprise the following schools:
1. Lubny Special School #6 (Lubny, Poltava Oblast)
2. Cherkasy Special Scool #3 (Cherkasy)
3. Ladyzhyn Secondary Schools #1 (Ladyzhyn, Vinnitsa Oblast)
4. Pochetne Liceusm (Pochetne, Republic of Crimea)
All schools that participate in the project are already winners as they received unique materials and tools for making research of environment and energy saving: equipment, publications, education packs, T-shirts and posters. And after pilot programs have been successfully implemented we can be sure that School Centres work actively, involve local community, engrain safely attitude to natural resources to youth.
During November 29 – December 10, PAUCI Foundation’s representatives will visit the selected schools for making thermovisual analysis and organisation of in-depth seminars on energy saving and ecology.
On December 22, a final event of the project will take place in Kyiv. All participating schools will participate in it and present experience of the School Centres. Representatives of the US Embassy, Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine and RUSAL Company will be also invited to the event.
